I'm developing a game both for iPad and iPhone. For the splash image i want the first frame of a logo animation, and when the splash screen loads the first scene, I want the rest of the animation to play.
For this to work the images need to be aligned properly. The video I play fits the height of the screen and so the splash image has to do the same. On iPhone I got this to work by setting the iPhone Launch screen type to Image and background (relative size).
